Use standard A4 size paper, recommended by the manufacturers of the printer. In our Indian context, it would be 70GSM, 75GSM and 80GSM. Always keep at least one spare cartridge for every printer.

When your cartridge has a leak caused by mid cycle failure, don’t try to clean the printer or the cartridge by yourself: it can cause a serious health hazard. Call the technician of your printer and ask him to fix the problem for you: he’s experienced, he has already seen lots of cases like yours, so he can solve your problem easily.

When the paper gets jammed in your printer, switch it off, let it cool, remove the cartridge and check if you can remove it by yourself, or if your staff can do it; if not, call the technician of your printer: he can fix it, without causing damage to the fuser unit of your printer.

Always use duplex mode when you have duplex and network printer, in fact duplex mode isn’t mandatory or a default mode when you print. You have to select it during the printing process. So remind your staff to always use Duplex mode during the printing process. You shall save 50% of the cost of the paper.

The last important point to stress is that you never have to staple your pages near a laser printer, because if a staple accidentally falls in your printer, it can cause a lot of damage to it.
